Welcome to Thurlmoor

Worth a visit....

– ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ country. Hop on the ‘Summer Wine’ tour bus or pop into the Tourist Information Centre for news on all local events and attractions. http://www.kirklees.gov.uk/visitorportal/

– With its excellent, and extremely busy, Thursday market is well worth a visit. There are numerous shops, banks, a post office, library (with loads of ‘what’s on and where’ info.). The Pennine Trail goes through Penistone making it a pleasant walk from the caravan site. Then if you’re too tired to walk back, catch a bus – there’s a stop right outside the caravan site gates! http://www.visitpenistone.co.uk

"We had a fantastic week at Thurlmoor in July 2011 and will return that is for sure. Fantastic scenery, peaceful location and superb hosts in Martin & Ann"

Tony & Angela, Bristol

"Peaceful well kept site with stunning scenery overlooking Woodhead Pass.

The Owners are friendly and helpful.
Within easy reach of Holmfirth (Summer Wine Country).

We can recommend a good food pub less than a mile away from the site which the owners told us about.

The nearest supermarket is about a ten minute drive - Tesco Penistone. There is also a Co-op in Holmfirth.

Good area for walking. The local bus stops at the site entrance if you prefer to leave the car behind.

We went for one week and stayed for two and will definitely be returning."
